Ugg has tapped famous LGBTQIA+ faces for its Pride 2021 campaign.
Marking the fifth annual “Proud Prom” celebration for the Southern California-based brand, the campaign stars Grammy Award-winning musician Lil Nas X and SAG award-nominated actress and model Hari Nef. Both are pictured wearing 70s-inspired apparel and new vibrant colorways of the Fluff You Slide Cali Collage as part of Ugg’s latest Pride collection.
Created in collaboration with the Pacific Pride Foundation, “Proud Prom” is an inclusive event featuring local LGBTQIA+ and allied youth from Santa Barbara and the coastal communities of California. To highlight the partnership, Ugg’s 2021 campaign also features members of the Pacific Pride Foundation including Mads Hamilton, Sky Limon and Roz Borah, as well Ugg Feel You brand ambassadors Maya Samaha and Jordun Love.
“We chose to showcase real, bold and wonderful individuals celebrating a virtual prom in a safe and welcoming environment, with amazing youth and allies and friends of the brand like Lil Nas X and Hari Nef,” said President of Ugg & Koolaburra by Ugg at Deckers Brands Andrea O’Donnell in a press release. “We wanted to express that there is beauty in what makes you different and that you should never feel the need to apologize for who you are or who you love.”
In addition to offering vibrant takes on the Fluff You Cali Collage, Ugg’s 2021 Pride collection features rainbow-tinged versions of other Cali Collage styles, including the Slide and Highland high-top sneaker. In addition, the brand launched a striped version of its platform Disco Slide and a range of colorful iterations of its best-selling Fluff Yeah slide in adult and children’s sizes.
For each pair of Disco Stripe slides sold on Ugg.com, the brand will donate $25 of the retail price to GLAAD — a leading media advocacy organization accelerating LGBTQ acceptance and equality — up to a maximum donation of $125,000.

Additionally, Ugg’s new Pride collection includes a line of all-gender apparel and accessories, such as sherpa camouflage hoodies, vibrant socks, t-shirt dresses and a tulle skirt.
Prices for the line range from $18 to $198. It can be purchased at Ugg stores, ugg.com/pride and select key retail partners nationwide, while the Disco Stripe Slide is sold exclusively at Ugg stores and on ugg.com/pride.
