Carhartt WIP Dresses Workwear Silhouettes in an Autumnal Color Palette for FW21

Carhartt WIP has revealed its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, mixing its workwear heritage with a focus on tactile materials. Textiles such as textured corduroy, treated canvas, wool and flannel arrive in muted color palette that references the collection’s autumnal influence.

This color palette also brings in tones inspired by dusty planes and saturated landscapes, with reddish brown and clay used throughout. This theme continues with a yarn-dyed stripe motif inspired by traditional saddle blankets, which is used on T-shirts, sweatshirts and a workwear-style jacket.

One of the focal points of the collection is Carhartt WIP’s well-known Double Knee pant, which has its knee panel removed to reveal a slight color differentiation. This aesthetic is a nod to the patina of classic workwear, which takes on a new appearance over time. This approach is also used on pants, overalls and the OG Arctic coat.

Another stand-out is the use of a raw, undyed herringbone material, giving items a salt-and-pepper look. Additionally, Carhartt WIP incorporates a new camouflage pattern, which is a mix of traditional Indonesia vine camo, British DPM and rain camo. The outdoors theme also continues for FW21, with nods to hunting, rock climbing and other outdoors pursuits.

Carhartt WIP’s FW21 collection is available now from the brand’s web store.

In other fashion news, ERL and COMME des GARÇONS recently presented a new fragrance.
