ASICS may be expanding its Sportstyle lineup with new Kiko Kostadinov creations and collaborations with Angelo Baque, but the GEL-Lyte III is still one of the bread-and-butter silhouettes from its lifestyle division. Now, the split-tongued runner from 1991 has surfaced in two new colorways. Each uses a different blend of tones, but both offer plenty of retro running style and serve as appealing, casual yet tech-focused summertime options.
The first of the duo boasts a mixture of berry blue and red, while the latter combines bright yellow and gray in a way that’s reminiscent of 2015’s GEL-Lyte III “High Voltage” pack. Each is built from a white mesh base, and uses a combo of soft suede and smooth leather for its colorful overlays and branded hits. Down below, white midsoles are loaded with a hidden dose of signature GEL cushioning to complete the look.
This dashing duo of ASICS GEL-Lyte IIIs are available now at Japanese retailers like atmos, and will likely arrive in the US later this summer. The MSRP for each pair is set at ¥14,300 JPY (approximately $130 USD), inclusive of tax.
