Fashion month continues to truck on, and we’re still reveling in all the glorious newness. The fashion weeks in Copenhagen, New York, and London were jam-packed with exciting S/S 22 trends, and of course, Milan was no exception. All of your favorite Italian heavyweight brands truly outdid themselves this season and left us with some excellent styling ideas and cult buys to look forward to.

As we sorted through all the stunning shows that took place in Milan, there was a lot to digest, but we were able to narrow down the newness to five key trends. Featuring the miniskirt you’re bound to see everywhere this spring thanks to Prada and what we’re deeming one of two new naked trends to look forward to in 2022, this list will give you the download on everything you need to know from Milan Fashion Week.

We’ve talked a lot about the pelvic-cutout trend that celebrities such as Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian West, and Irina Shayk have been wearing lately. So what will next year’s version of this look be? Instead of cutouts, designers are into low-rise skirts that dip below the hip on just one side. You can buy skirts that are already asymmetrical at the top, or you can self-style with a stretchy knit skirt. Versace, No. 21, and Philosophy are just some of the brands on board with this look for S/S 22.

Bra tops were a major trend from the Copenhagen shows, and Milan definitely upped the sexy factor with triangle bras specifically. They were styled in a ton of different ways: with a matching pant set at Missoni, with a miniskirt at Fendi, and with a flowy coat at Etro. Any way you slice it, this is a trend to keep an eye on.

Micro-minis were a major trend on the F/W 21 runways, so it only makes sense that we’re seeing a fresh take for the spring season ahead. This time, however, it wasn’t just about the short hemline. Mod minis that look like they resurrected straight from the closets of posh women from the ’60s were spotted everywhere from Prada to Alberta Ferretti, and we fell in love. One delectable detail we’d also like to note is that most of these mod minis were accompanied by a belt of some sort, making the tiny bottoms feel 10 times more intentional.

Brands are doubling down on oversize blazers for S/S 22. Copy Marni and go pants-less with flat loafers, or emulate Jil Sander and opt for a fun twist on a classic pantsuit. However you choose to style it, you really can’t go wrong with a roomy blazer this year or next. Luckily, there are plenty of affordable versions on the market already.

Is it just us, or is crochet becoming to spring what florals have always been? Kind of expected but noteworthy nonetheless? Regardless, we saw inventive takes on classic crochet in the form of fringe dresses at Alberta Ferretti, Y2K halters at Etro, and a matching cardigan-and-tank set at Blumarine that we’ve been losing sleep over. Apparently, when it comes to crochet this spring, the sky is the limit, and we’re just along for the ride.
