Sarah Jessica Parker is a real New Yorker. Unlike her label-loving character Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and The City, the actor often hits the Manhattan streets in outfits that are pretty practical (for the most part). Though she loves to rock pieces from her own shoe collection, which includes loads of statement heels, her outfits are often grounded in extreme wearability, favoring pieces such as easy day dresses or the classic pairing of jeans and a tee. And her latest look proves that she can even look fashionable while commuting in the city, too.
Armed with big noise-cancelling headphones and an even bigger backpack for all of her daily essentials, Parker was spotted heading to her shoe store in New York City rocking a commuter-chic look. It consisted of pieces you can comfortably spend a day in: she wore an easy-breezy sundress with a cardigan to stay warm in once she got inside. While she didn’t opt for comfortable, on-the-go flats, she did wear a pair of leopard-print sandals to dress up her look (they have a block heel, so they’re not totally impractical footwear). Finished off with layered necklaces and 2000s-style shield sunglasses, it was as good as a commuting look can get. And she gets extra points for doing it all in heels.
