We’ve got to hand it to Megan Thee Stallion and her hairstylist Kellon Deryck: The pair never fail to deliver colorful, double-tap-worthy hair moments that set trends and remind us what we love so much about beauty. In February alone, the rapper was spied rocking hair tinsel on three separate occasions. First, she tried the look with monochromatic green bob. Then, she wore a super long straight, black unit peppered with glittery blue and purple strands. Our favorite of the three is the long, blue unit boasting clavicle-length layers at the front, with a few pieces of blue tinsel to brighten her money-piece highlights.
Thee Stallion and Deryck continue the parade of technicolor dream wigs with the rapper’s latest, which appears to be inspired by her tie-dye phone case. We’re talking, of course, about this melty, rainbow stripey ombré piece she performed in at the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival on March 5.
Thee Stallion shared an Instagram carousel showing off the multicolored wig and phone case. This one is waist-length and cut blunt; parted on the side and slicked in the front to create a faux side bang. It appears to have a mostly purple base hue with chunky-but-well-blended horizontal rainbow stripes throughout. In the first picture, you can see a hint of the polychromatic pieces of hair at the very front and then a larger section behind the parted faux bang. The view from the back is even better: The colors flow from yellow to pink, purple, blue, green, and then back again throughout.
The last image of the slideshow has a view of the inspiration piece, that swirly tie-die phone case, which Meg noted in the caption that she bought after seeing several Instagram ads for it. It complements her hair perfectly. The picture also gives us a peek at her holographic manicure — hopefully, she shares a more detailed nailfie on the grid very soon.
