Lucy Hale added a new tattoo to her ever-growing ink collection this weekend — a dainty butterfly design done by Los Angeles-based tattoo artist, Winter Stone. The former Pretty Little Liars star debuted her fresh ink on her Instagram grid, along with a caption that hints at the meaning behind it.
Next to a black and white photo of the fine line tattoo, it says, “You’ve outdone yourself @winterstone -thank you ! Rebirth 🦋.” It’s clear from Hale’s caption that she wanted a butterfly tattoo because they’re a symbol of rebirth. Already, the actor is receiving a wellspring of comments from fans and fellow celebrities. “You wear it well!!! 🦋 little white butterfly!” writes Stone. “IM SO JEALOUS,” adds hairstylist Kristin Ess.
Additionally, Stone shared a stunning shot of the star’s new ink on his grid, along with the caption: “BABY BUTTERFLY @lucyhale you are a gem! Always a pleasure getting to draw on you!” Of course, people are praising his work in the comments, leaving messages like, “so stunning 💫,” “Beautiful!” and “So pretty…..💕”
For those who don’t know, Hale has over 13 tattoos, with some of them almost too tiny to see. She has a super-realistic-looking lightbulb design on her arm, an “a” on her finger for Aria Montgomery from PLL, and her dog Elvis’s name written in cursive.
