In our book, “Badass” is less a label and more a spirit. To quote InStyle’s editor-in-chief Laura Brown, it describes women who “show up, speak up, and get things done,” and it’s the main quality we use when selecting people to feature in the magazine. It’s also the guiding theme behind our recent collaborations: our fiery Mary Jane with Zou Xou was done in signature “Badass Red,” and our sweatshirt with Meena Harris’s brand Phenomenal reads, “Ambitious,” because there’s nothing more badass than an ambitious woman.

The design is polite…yet also not, since it does say “ass,” after all. It’s cheeky yet classic, personal yet universal (“Badass” in French is….also “Badass”); it ticks all boxes to be possibly the most Parisian accessory after the Beret.
