Set to arrive alongside the “Sesame” colorway, we now have an official look at the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Dark Iris.” Serving as one of four colorways set to release, the bold two-tone take updates Chitose Abe‘s lauded hybrid sneaker style which combines elements of the Nike Vaporfly with the classic Pegasus from 1983.
The upper of the shoe this time around features a purple leather base accented by matching suede and leather overlays. Additional detailing comes in the form of contrasting orange midfoot Swooshes, dual tongues and intertwined laces. While branding comes in the form of purple printed Swooshes, tongue tags, “NIKE/sacai” printed heel tabs, mini Swoosh marked heel loops and printed insoles. Finishing up the design of the shoe is the hybrid layered midsole unit marked by an aggressive lip at the heel paired with a contrasting black rubber waffle outsole.
Priced at $180 USD, the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Dark Iris” is set to release April 29, 10 p.m. EDT on Nike SNKRS and at select retailers alongside the “Sesame” colorway.
