Brendon Babenzien’s favored derby silhouette is getting yet another makeover courtesy of NOAH, as the New York brand again takes on the classic Gibson 3-Eye for Spring/Summer 2021. A pinkish hue wraps the sleek leather shoe, lightening its visual presence without cutting down on any of the British brand’s hardwearing cues.
Launching on the heels of NOAH’s New Order collaboration, this Solovair partnership emphasizes the British influences that inform much of NOAH’s seasonal fare. Finished with Solovair’s usual Goodyear-welted Soft Suspension sole on a 2488 last, this collaborative silhouette is both slip-resistant and hardwearing thanks to its rigid pink leather upper, which will mold to the wearer’s foot in time. Gold co-branding graces the insole and NOAH’s cross emblem is embossed towards the rear for subtle flair.
Dover Street Market’s web store for £220 GNP (approximately $303 USD). Expect a wider release in the near future.
Solovair isn’t the only British bootmaker making collaborative moves; Dr. Martens recently teased joint efforts with King Nerd and Rick Owens.
